I was entirely flattered. As a lover of all things design and fashion related, on a personal level, this is an honor that transcends my early professional accomplishments in the field of interior design and business. There is no doubt that interior design is and always has been my greatest passion. However, in both my professional and personal experiences, fashion rates a very close second. Both of these industries require a similar creative gene that forces the mind to think outside-of-the-box. In a similar manner, these two industries parallel each other in that they mandate the need to move fast and keep up with the trends. Whether I am sifting through upholstery fabric for a custom upholstered chair or I am in the Nordstrom’s Designer Department shopping for a dress, I am having fun.
